A short note on how we got here:-
Sharron started her career working for DHL. She was DHL Liverpool's first and only women driver who could be seen weaving through Liverpool City Centre traffic delivering and collecting all shapes and sizes of packages in the business district. This is where she met Simon.
Simon started his career in the cotton industry aged 18, fresh out of college. He quickly came to notice this young, athletic and good looking lady courier driver quite early on because, being the Shipping and Logistics Manager for an international cotton company trading cotton globally, the company constantly received and sent documents and cotton samples by courier. Simon would often see Sharron 2 to 3 times a day dropping off and picking up parcels at Reception. Eventually plucking up enough courage, Simon asked Sharron out for a drink and that's where the relationship started.
Sharron left DHL and took a career break when the kids arrived but after a couple of years Simon decided Sharron needed to bring in an income and get back to work. Due to increased distances to our families, we considered Sharron needed the flexibility of working for herself. But what could she do? Having young kids provided us with an idea - bouncy castles! Everyone loves a bounce at parties!
In October 2005 Sharron took delivery of 3 brand new bouncy castles and formed her first company "Barmy Bouncers". She's never looked back. 3 castles quickly turned into 8 and she subsequently expanded the business into party marquees. With the marquee business came another trade name called "Tied to the Turf". That business was formed in 2008 just when the World seemed to go into meltdown - banks were collapsing and required bail outs, debts were at their peak - people cut back on spending! Bad timing perhaps but the company ticked over nicely and grew further with tables and chairs being purchased alongside the marquees.
During 2010, Sharron took possession of our Rodeo Bull and Dinosaur. We had suddenly grown from a small bouncy castle operator into an events company with a constantly expanding product range. It's been great fun setting up Barmy Bouncers and Tied to the Turf from scratch, but it was time to consider re-branding the two existing companies and this is how we've arrived at Estuary Events Limited. The new company has only just been formed in April 2011 and we'll look to take the business even further going forward. New products, new ideas and new satisfied customers.
Our aim 5 years ago was to start in business where we could bring happiness to people's lives and offer them some great products and most importantly a brilliant customer service. A reliable, honest and hard working business aiming to please every customer who approaches us to assist with their party or event. Sharron very much continues to work in the business on a full time basis. She's seen these days not driving a DHL van through city centre streets of Liverpool, but constantly seen driving around the Wirral speaking and working with our great customers to ensure each event is 100% successful.
Simon still remains in the cotton industry after all these years but continues to assist and to come up with new ideas for Sharron. We're a true husband and wife partnership!
Barmy Bouncers has been especially active and well placed in the local press and online presence, so whilst the name has changed to Estuary Events Limited it's still Sharron very much in charge! We look forward to working with our existing clients as well as making friends with new ones.
100% Fun 110% Service.
Best wishes.
